Creations need a creator. Fine. Would someone please demonstrate that the Universe is a creation?

I am not a religious person but I do not feel like anyone needs to prove the universe was created. You simply have to ask where it came from....regardless of whether or not it was the big bang....what made that happen? Where did the raw material and/or energy come from? For every explanation there seems to be a point where you have to wonder where it all started.
