Can anyone please advice me on Short-term deposit?

Hi, Actly I m not that aware of Short-term deposits and their Interest rates. I would like to know that, Is it posible to deposit certain Sum for very short period like 3 months or so and I can expect the same with Interest. Basicaly, I m the A/C Holder of SBH & SBI. Is there any facility like this @ these banks and what was the Return Interest I can expect from them.
